2018 Paragliding World Cup - Baixo Guandu, Brazil

Tomorrow the second world cup of 2018 starts.

2017 Super Final champion Michael Sigel, who was 1st in the 2013 World Cup in Baixo Guandu, and 4th in the 2015 World Cup there, is a favourite for this competition. He is currently lying 2nd in XContest, where his main flights were all in Brazil.

Baixo Guandu definitely suited the GIN pilots during the last World Cup here with Michael winning a task and 2014 European Champion, Torsten winning 3 tasks and coming 9th overall. Wingtips crossed for more of the same this time.

Also flying GIN: one of the leading World Cup task winners, Andre Rainsford, Michael Küffer and many other top pilots. All definitely worth watching in the skies above the monolithic granite mountains around Baixo Guandu.

Michael, Torsten and Idris are scoring for the GIN Team and just as a reminder you can keep up with them and all the other GIN pilots on the PWCA App which is now available for iOS and Android devices (search for PWCA). It gives the live Commentary, tracking and all the scores and makes the competition much easier to watch on tablets and mobile phones. We hope to integrate photos and live Leading Points on the App for this competition.
